BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men's tennis team wraps up its brief fall schedule this weekend when it heads to Montreat on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m.
The Tornados return to the court after a two-week layoff, since squaring off against Johnson C. Smith and Lenoir-Rhyne on Sept. 23, where they suffered setbacks by scores of 7-2 and 9-0, respectively.
Brevard's wins against Johnson C. Smith came from the tandem of Tom Mittring and Tim Hengst, who downed Marlowe Anderson and Anthony Jefferson, 8-3, in the No. 1 spot.
Mittring was also responsible for Brevard's lone win in singles competition, earning a 6-0, 6-2 victory as the No. 1 seeded player in a match against Desire Johnson.
