Brevard looks to get back on the right track against Berea

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard men's soccer will look to win their first match since September 9 when they host Berea at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The team will look to snap their three-match skid against a Mountaineer team that is winless on the season.

In the Tornados' previous match, N.C. Wesleyan held Brevard to 14 total shots with just five shots on goal, while allowing 27 total shots and 16 shots on goal against the Battling Bishops.

On offense the Tornados will rely on more quick-strike possessions like they had in their win against Huntingdon, a 4-1 win where freshman Jorge Jimenez scored three goals.

Defensively, Brevard will be facing a Berea offense that has only scored three goals through eight games on the season. However, Brevard will be looking to stop sophomore Pedro Herrara who has been leading the charge for the Mountaineers with 10 shots and one goal on the season.

This will be the first matchup between the two schools since Brevard moved to the NCAA ranks in 2008.
