BREVARD, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University Falcons (1-2) used five fourth quarter goals to upset the Brevard College Tornados (2-3) Saturday afternoon in non-conference action from the Brevard College Soccer Field.

Sophomores' Kyle Hunziker (Gainesville, Fla.) and Jackson McKaig (Gainesville, Fla.) posted a pair of goals apiece, while McKaig recorded six shots on frame. Seniors Mathew Dropuljic (Brampton, Ontario) and Ryan Taylor (Mill Bay, British Columbia) added lone goals each, while Taylor recorded the Tornados only assist on the afternoon.

Additionally, sophomore Jack Shade (Nacberth, Pa.) and junior David Buono (Bethany, Conn.) got in on the scoring action as the pair finished with a goal apiece.

Tornados goalie Chris Stallings (Bel Air, Md.) played solid in net for the blue and white as the true freshman collected eight saves while surrendering nine goals.

Offensively for the Falcons, Kyle Barna led the way, recording a game-high four goals, while Jared Nelson was the remaining Pfeiffer player to record atleast two goals. In net, Mike Moorehead allowed eight goals, while recording a game-high 13 saves.

Pfeiffer would kick off the afternoons scoring 11:22 into the first quarter as Barna scored his first goal of the contest. Brevard would tie the game at 1-1 just under a minute later as McKaig struck at the 10:25 mark.

Brevard would add on one more first quarter score on a Dropuljic net finder to take a 2-1 advantage heading into the second quarter.

The Tornados increased their lead to 3-1 just over a minute into the second quarter as Hunziker powered home his first of two goals on the afternoon.

Pfeiffer would pull within on nearly 30 seconds later as Justin Oberg closed the gap at 3-2, while Taylor put the Tornados back up by two goals at the 6:55 mark.

The Falcons and Tornados would each add one more first half goal as Brevard took a 5-3 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the intermission, Pfeiffer stuck for their lone third quarter score at 11:34, while Buono and Shade game the Tornados a little breathing room with two third quarter scoring, increasing the lead to 7-4.

However, the Falcons would erupt in the fourth quarter for five unanswered scores to take a 9-7 advantage with 4:30 remaining in regulation.

The Tornados would not go quietly though as McKaig scored with 52 seconds remaining to cut the deficit to 9-8. However, Pfeiffer would win the ensuing faceoff and manage to run on the clock.

Brevard is slated to return back to action Mar. 4 as they travel to Greeneville, Tenn. to faceoff with the Tusculum Pioneers in the 2017 South Atlantic Conference opener, schedule to begin at 3 p.m.
