BREVARD, N.C. - Despite freshman goalie Chris Stallings (Bel Air, Md.) recording 18 saves the Brevard College Tornados (2-2) dropped their second game of the season by a final of 16-5 to the Young Harris College Mountain Lions (2-3).

Offensively, the Tornados were lead by five players who posted scoring numbers as sophomores Jackson McKaig (Gainesville, Fla.) and Kyle Hunziker (Gainesville, Fla.) each added goals, while Hunziker added one of the teams two assists.

Additionally, seniors Mathew Dropuljic (Brampton, Ontario) and Nick Bier (Cumming, Ga.) got in on the scoring action, while junior David Buono (Bethany, Conn.) also posted a score.

The Mountain Lions were lead on the afternoon by Bruce Silk who finished with a game-high five goals, while Bevan Pate added four goals and two assists and Matty Ledon recorded three goals and two assists.

Following a Young Harris goal just over a minute into the first quarter, the Tornados responded two back-to-back goals by Bier and Hunziker to take a 2-1 lead with just over 10 minutes remaining in the opening frame.

However, the Mountain Lions would add two more first quarter goals to take a 3-2 lead heading into second quarter action.

Buono would tie the game for the Tornados at the 11:25 mark of the second quarter, but Young Harris would benefit from five unanswered first half goals and eight more in the third and fourth quarter to open a 16-3 advantage with just under seven minutes of play remaining.

McKaig ended the Mountain Lions run with 5:45 remaining in regulation and Dropuljic added a score with 3:19 left, but the damage had been down in the late second quarter and early second half as the Tornados were unable to overcome a Young Harris 13-0 scoring run.

Brevard will look to get back into the win column this coming Saturday, Feb. 25 as they taggle with future USA South opponent the Pfeiffer University Falcons with faceoff scheduled for 2 p.m. from the Brevard Soccer Field.
