Austin Fisher Holds Second Place after Day One of the Tusculum Men’s Golf Invitational

GREENVILLE, Tenn. - Brevard College's Austin Fisher currently sits in sole possession of second place in the 26th Annual Tusculum Men's Golf Invitational held at Link Hills Country Club in Greenville, Tennessee.

Fisher paced the Tornados by firing a first round score of 68 ( 3-under par) to grab a hold of second place after the first round. 

Walters State CC's Alex Hodge holds a slim, two-stroke advantage over Fisher for first place after shooting a five-under, 66, on day one. 

Link Hills Country Club played at a par of 71 and 6763 yards total in length on Saturday afternoon.

BC senior Thibault Tranchant also sits in the top 10 for the Tornados, holding a tie for ninth place after firing a 74 (+3) in the first round. Thomas Purcell rounds out BC's participants with a first-round 81 (+10). 

The competitive field featured golfers from host school Tusculum University, Walters State  CC, Shorter University, Felician College, Milligan College, Franklin College, Davenport College, Concord University, UVA-Wise, and Bluefield State College. 

Action will conclude tomorrow morning at the event hosted by NCAA DII Tusculum.
