BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College football senior running back Mitchell Yoder and senior linebacker Toby Naylor were each honored by the USA South Conference, as Yoder took home USA South Football Offensive Player of the Week and Naylor was awarded Defensive Player of the Week following big individual performances in BC's 22-20 victory over Methodist University last Saturday on Homecoming.

Yoder, a senior from Columbus, North Carolina, eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark for the fourth time in his Tornado career when he ran for 123 yards on 13 carries with a touchdown for the Tornados in the win – part of a 202-yard rushing effort for the Tornado offense. Over his four-year playing career at Brevard, Yoder has amassed 1,075 rushing yards on 199 carries (5.4 ypc) with nine touchdowns.

Naylor, a senior from Southampton, England, led a dominant effort from the Tornado defense in the victory, totaling 13 tackles (seven solo, six assisted) with a QB sack, a career-high four tackles-for-loss, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup in the winning effort. In four years at BC, Naylor has totaled 163 total tackles, 9 ½ sacks, 30 tackles-for-loss, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
