MILLIGAN, Tenn. – The Brevard cycling team wrapped up its first race of the spring at Milligan College this weekend.

Two Tornado cyclists, Janelle Cole and Zachary Lowden, battled through high winds, freezing temperatures and rain to reach the podium at the conclusion of the race.

Cole placed third in the Group A women's road race, while Lowden grabbed his first collegiate win in the Group B men's road race.

Brevard now turns its attention to a two-day event at Appalachian State on April 7-8.
