BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's (1-4) and women's (2-3) tennis teams return to action on Saturday at the McCoy Tennis Complex when the Tornados face off against Pfeiffer University's men's (3-2) and women's (0-4) teams at 1 p.m. for Family Day at BC.

Brevard's women's team will be seeking a season sweep over Pfeiffer after a dominant  8-1 victory in the Fall season in Misenheimer, North Carolina. BC's men will be looking to avenge an 8-1 loss at the hands of the Falcons from the Fall.

On September 29, 2019, the BC women's team cruised to an 8-1 victory in its Fall finale against Pfeiffer.

The number one doubles team of Samantha Sepe and Alli Kogoy defeated the number one team of the Falcons, 8-2.  The number two and three doubles teams for Brevard were even more dominant, each posting 8-0 wins.  Hamrick Perry and Margaret Correll blanked the Falcons, 8-0 in no. 2 doubles, while Jen Cox and Sarah Iocovozzialso did not lose a game in their perfect match.  In total, the three teams of the Tornados outscored Pfeiffer 24-2 in games in doubles play.

The Tornados continued their winning ways in singles play with victories in five matches, with all five wins coming in straight sets as well.  Sepe won 6-0, 6-4 in number one singles over Pfeiffer's top singles performer.

Highlighting the Fall match vs. Pfeiffer for the Tornado men's team was a three-set victory by BC's Troy Broska in number four singles.  Broska fell 6-4 in the first set, creating a must-win scenario in set number two. Broska delivered with a 7-6 tiebreaker win in the second set to force a third set.  The freshman from Estanollee, Georgia then prevailed with a thrilling 12-10 win in the third set tiebreaker to take the match.

After Saturday's matchup, the Tornado teams will open USA South Conference play next Saturday, March 7 in Berea, Kentucky against Berea at 11 a.m. before traveling down to Orlando, Florida, where both teams will take part in a Spring Break Tournament.
