Loaiza and Romero of Brevard College at NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Brevard College senior student-athletes Diana Loaiza (Women's Lacrosse) and Joshua Romero (Football) are participating in the 2020 NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program held this week in conjunction with the annual NCAA Convention in Anaheim, California.

Loaiza and Romero were two of just 40 total student-athletes selected for the program which is designed for ethnic minority students who have an interest in a career in NCAA Division III coaching or athletics administration.  Loaiza and Romero will be exposed to a magnitude of Division III and general college athletics programming to help prepare them for a potential career in athletics.

The members of the immersion program will participate in programming specific to student-athletes and will have the opportunity to attend the legislative voting session. Loaiza and Romero will also receive DiSC training, and participate in welcome and debrief meetings. The goal of the Immersion Program is to build a pipeline of talented ethnic minority candidates, with an interest in Division III coaching and/or administration, in an effort to ultimately diversify the division.

Stay tuned to Brevard College Athletics on social media for updates from the experiences of both Loazia and Romero at the NCAA Division III Immersion Program.
