FALL 2021 BREVARD COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE LINK

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Men's and Women's Cross Country team has announced its schedule for the upcoming Fall 2021 season of competition.

"I am very excited for the upcoming Fall 2021 season," commented Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Darryll Patrick. "We are attending some fast courses with great competition all across the NCAA divisions. This is also our first year competing in the South/Southeast region, so I'm excited to see where we stack up amongst other DIII institutions. More importantly, I'm excited to see how our teams grow, develop and hopefully compete for the USA South Conference title."

The Tornados, under the direction of Coach Patrick, Assistant Coach Jordan Tager, and Volunteer Assistant Coach Chad Newton, will open the 2021 Fall season on Friday, September 10 with a trip to Central, South Carolina to take part in the Warrior Invite hosted by Southern Wesleyan University at 6 p.m.

BC will be back in action two weeks later, traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina for the Queen City Invite, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte on Friday, September 24 at 6 p.m. The Tornados will later return to the Queen City on Friday, October 8 for the Royals XC Challenge, beginning at 6 p.m.

Brevard's attention will then turn to the USA South Conference Cross Country Championships, held Saturday, October 30 at 12 p.m., with the championship site in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The BC men's team finished in third place in the Spring 2021 USA South Cross Country West Division Championships held back on February 26 in Grady, Alabama. Two Tornado runners, Devon Brodmyer (8th, 28:47) and Garrett Spangler (10th, 29:02), both finished top-10 at the race to earn All-West Division Second Team honors.

BC will then compete in the NCAA DIII Cross Country Regional Championships on Saturday, November 13 at 12 p.m. in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with spots in the NCAA DIII Cross Country National Championships on the line – which will be held on Friday, November 19 in Louisville, Kentucky.
