BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College sophomore setter/right-side hitter Kaitlyn Pressley has earned All-State Second Team honors from the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA).
Pressley becomes the fourth honoree all-time for the Tornados, as she joins libero Aleksandra Vrvilo, who was a two-time selection in 2014 and 2015, and libero Mariana Rodriguez, who earned second-team honors in 2019.
Pressley, a sophomore from Brevard, North Carolina, turned in an impressive season in her second year at Brevard College. She ranked second on the team in kills (247), digs (187), and assists (288) en route to a USA South Conference All-West Division Second Team honor. Pressley totaled six double-doubles and three triple-doubles over the course of the season, giving her an impressive four triple-doubles for her collegiate career. The sophomore had a career-high 20 kills at LaGrange (Oct. 2), dished out a season-best 23 assists vs. Wesleyan (Oct. 9), and had a season-high 15 digs on three different occasions.
The Tornados concluded their 2021 campaign that culminated with the program's first postseason appearance since 2015, with Brevard making a trip to the 2021 USA South Conference Volleyball Tournament. BC finished with a .500 record in conference play (8-8) and its most single-season wins (nine) since 2017.
