BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College women's tennis was honored by the USA South Conference following its season-opening 9-0 sweep of Johnson & Wales University (NC).

Sophomore Hannah Hersh was selected as the conference's Player of the Week, while BC no. 1 doubles pairing of Hersh and senior Alli Kogoy was honored as Doubles Team of the Week.

Hersh, a sophomore from Estero, Florida earned a win at both the number-one singles and doubles spots against Johnson & Wales in the team's only action so far this spring. Hersh claimed a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the top-flight singles match for the Tornados.

Hersh and Kogoy teamed up for an 8-3 victory to begin the season in number-one doubles action, as Brevard cruised to a 9-0 team victory.

Hersh and Kogoy's honors give BC a grand total of 37 weekly awards from the USA South so far in 2022-23.
