HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Brevard College women's tennis team (2-8) dropped the second match of its journey at the PTR Spring Fest with a 9-0 defeat to Lawrence Tech on Saturday night at Chaplin Park in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
 
Lawrence Tech won all three matches in doubles play to take a 3-0 advantage into singles action. Junior Alli Kogoy and sophomore Melody Ferguson were able to take two games in number-three doubles to pace the Tornados in the early going. 

The Blue Devils went on to sweep singles play as well. Hannah Hersh (no. 1), Hamrick Perry (no. 2), Kogoy (no. 3), Brooke Garland (no. 4), Sophie Trantham (no. 5) and Ferguson (no. 6) all competed for the Tornados in the singles portion of the team match

Brevard will play again Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort when the squad takes on Cairn University.
