Brevard Cruises to 8-1 Win in First Spring Match

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Brevard College women's tennis team (2-6) defeated Johnson & Wales NC, 8-1, on Sunday in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

The Tornados dominated doubles, as Hamrick Perry and Sophie Trantham earned a victory in the top spot, 8-2, before Brooke Garland and Hannah Hersh won 8-5 in doubles number two. Alli Kogoy and Melody Ferguson swept the final spot, 8-0, to give BC the early 3-0 lead. 

Ferguson, Garland, Hersh, Kogoy, and Trantham all earned singles wins, as BC cruised to the 8-1 team victory. 

The Tornados will return to play on Saturday, February 27 as Brevard visits Pfeiffer University for a 1 p.m. match time.
