BREVARD, N.C. - Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Arroyo was named USA South Conference Rookie of the Week following her sixth shutout performance of the season in a 2-0 victory for the Tornados at Pfeiffer last Tuesday. 

The Yulee, Florida freshman goalkeeper recorded a shutout in the only contest she appeared in last week, a 2-0 victory over Pfeiffer. Arroyo stopped all three shots faced in the victory.

Overall this season, Arroyo has allowed just six goals in 10 matches, making 34 saves with six solo shutouts and a 5-3-2 record. 

The Tornados have their sights set on the postseason, as Brevard hits the road as the seven-seed to Buena Vista, Virginia to match up against Southern Virginia University on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
