BREVARD, N.C. – Following a history-making week, junior forward Abby Mayer was selected as the USA South Conference Player of the Week.

Mayer, a native of Roxboro, North Carolina, became just the third Tornado to record a hat trick when she scored three times and added an assist in a 4-0 victory over Warren Wilson College on Tuesday, September 6. She then became the first Tornado ever to log consecutive hat tricks in the same week as Mayer again scored three goals with an assist in a 6-0 win over Allen University on Saturday, September 10.

Mayer's 14 points accumulated last week currently lead all USA South players, while she is tied for the conference lead in goals scored with six.

The Tornados return to action when BC hosts Carlow University on Thursday at 7 p.m. Brevard currently holds a three-game winning streak heading into the action.
