BREVARD, N.C. – For the second time this season, Brevard College women's lacrosse senior attacker Parker Moore earned USA South Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors following an undefeated week in conference play for the BC women's lacrosse team.
The Raleigh, North Carolina senior attacker totaled 20 points on 13 goals and seven assists with six draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Tornados against USA South foes. In a 23-17 win at Pfeiffer, Moore scored six goals with five assists, six draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers. In a 20-2 victory over N.C. Wesleyan, Moore scored seven goals with two assists.
Moore has led the Tornados offensively so far through their program-record 8-2 start to the 2023 season, scoring 41 goals with 21 assists for a team-best 62 points. Moore ranks second in the conference in goals and third in assists for a number-two ranking in total points so far. The third-year Tornado eclipsed the 100-point career mark at Brevard in just 29 games played and earned the program's first-ever IWLCA National DIII Co-Offensive Player of the Week honor following an 11-point performance that included the game-winning goal in the season opener vs. Randolph College (February 19).
Moore and the rest of the BC women's lacrosse team travel to Warren Wilson College on Friday, April 7 at 4 p.m. in nearby Swannanoa, North Carolina for the second-annual installment of the "Ridge Rivalry" game.
Moore's award gives BC a grand total of 49 weekly awards from the USA South so far in 2022-23.
