BREVARD, N.C. – Senior attacker Parker Moore was selected as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National DIII Co-Offensive Player of the Week after a stellar performance in Brevard College's season-opening 19-18 victory over Randolph College last Sunday at Ives-Lemel Family Field.

The honor marks the first time in the history of BC women's lacrosse that a player has earned a national player of the week honor from the IWLCA.

Moore, a third-year Tornado from Raleigh, North Carolina, scored eight goals and added three assists for an 11-point performance in the exhilarating home victory. Moore's eight goals was one shy of matching the program record, while her 11 points ties the program-high mark for a single game. Moore delivered the eventual game-winning goal on a free-position attempt with 1:31 left to play as the Tornados held off the WildCats down the stretch to clinch the win.

In her three playing seasons for the Tornados, Moore has been a force in the BC attack, scoring 54 career goals to go along with 24 assists for 78 career points.

Moore and the rest of the BC women's lacrosse team are back in action on Friday as the Tornados host Spalding University at 4 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
