BREVARD, N.C. – Freshman guard Makayla Street was selected as the USA South Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third time this season following a big performance in last Saturday's 64-56 victory on the road at Methodist University.

Street, a first-year student from Rock Hill, South Carolina, scored a co-game high 17 points off the bench in the win over Methodist. Street also added a co-team-high seven rebounds with two assists and one steal in the victory.

So far this season, Street has scored in double figures eight times in her freshman campaign, averaging eight points per game while ranking second on the team with 1.7 steals-per-contest.

Street's award gives Brevard College a grand total of 30 weekly awards from the USA South so far in 2022-23.
