Tornados Compete in Exhibition at Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Brevard College women's basketball team (6-3) concluded its 2021 calendar year on Wednesday night as the Tornados faced NCAA DI Wofford College (3-6) in a contest that was an exhibition for BC. The Terriers took a 101-37 decision in the matchup.

The matchup marked the fourth time in five seasons that the Tornados have made the trip to Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Chyna Pouncey led all Tornados with 10 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. Naliyah Boyce posted an eight-point performance while Avery Lockwood added six points down low. Destiny Williams posted a team-high three steals.

The Tornados were able to keep the margin within eight points, 22-14, in the third quarter, as the Terriers held BC to single-digit scoring totals in the contest's first two periods.

The Tornados are off from game action through the conclusion of 2021 and return to action on January 7-8, 2022 with a two-game road trip to face USA South Conference foes Huntingdon College (Jan. 7, 6 p.m. ET) and LaGrange College (Jan. 8, 2 p.m.). Brevard will face off against Maryville College on Wednesday, January 12 at 6 p.m. in its return to the Boshamer Gymnasium.
