Men’s Tennis Picks Up Big 6-3 Team Win over Huntingdon

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (5-13, 2-3 USA South) picked up a big 6-3 team win over Huntingdon College on Friday at the McCoy Tennis Complex. 

Brevard battled back from an early 2-1 deficit following doubles play, racking up five singles wins for a 6-3 final score to earn the team's second conference win of 2022. 

In doubles play, James Srsich and JaMarcus Walker teamed up for an 8-3 victory in number-three doubles action. Devin Horton and Bryce Bernitt narrowly fell in number-two doubles play, taking their opponents down to the wire before eventually falling in the tiebreaker 7-5. 

Brevard turned the tables in singles play, as Ethan McGee (6-0, 6-1), Bernitt (6-4, 6-3), Horton (6-0, 6-2), Srsich (6-3, 6-2), and Hunter Williams (6-2, 6-1) all earned victories to take the key conference triumph. 

Brevard finishes its regular season on Tuesday, April 19, hosting Maryville College at 3:30 p.m. at the McCoy Tennis Complex. BC Tennis will honor its two seniors, Alex Glaze and Andrew Ingram, prior to the competition.
