SPRING 2022 SCHEDULE LINK

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men's tennis team, under the direction of third-year Head Coach Brad Jones, has announced its Spring 2022 schedule.

"I'm excited about this upcoming season," commented Coach Jones. "We are really looking forward to having a full spring this year. I think both teams are again ready to get out and compete against other opponents and believe the experience we got during the fall - playing tougher opponents from multiple divisions and having a full Fall season - will help with getting the men's & women's teams ready for the Spring season grind."

BC's men's team is scheduled to compete in a total of 14 matches this Spring– five of which being at a spring break tournament in Hilton Head, South Carolina – with four home matches and six USA South Conference contests.

"The hard work that both teams put in during the Fall will really show this Spring," added Coach Jones.  "I think as the spring season progresses a lot of players will settle in and begin to find their own individual game that fits their particular playing style, which is our goal for the spring season as a tennis program. All in all, I believe we are going to have a really good season.  We are going to learn a lot, have fun doing it, all while making memories with teammates that will last a lifetime!"

The men's squad will hit the road alongside the women's team for a pair of matches in February, beginning their Spring with a Sunday, February 13 match against Johnson & Wales Charlotte beginning at 1 p.m. The Tornados will then prepare for a rematch of a Fall contest against Pfeiffer University on Sunday, February 27 at 1 p.m. in Misenheimer, North Carolina.

Both Tornado tennis teams will travel to Hilton Head from Saturday, March 5 - Tuesday, March 8 for five matches in a spring break tournament. Match opponents and times are still to be determined.

BC will open conference play on Saturday, March 19 against Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia at 2 p.m. The Tornados then return to Brevard for a two-match homestand against conference foe LaGrange College on Saturday, March 26 at 12 p.m. and Warren Wilson College on Wednesday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m., both doubleheaders at the McCoy Tennis Complex.

April begins with a pair of road matches, as the Tornados face Berea College in Berea, Kentucky (Saturday, April 2, 12 p.m.) and Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia (Wednesday, April 6, 3:30 p.m.). Brevard closes its regular season out with a pair of home matches, first against Huntingdon College on Friday, April 15 at 11 a.m. and then vs. Maryville College on Tuesday, April 19 at 3:30 p.m.

The Tornados will then turn their attention to the USA South Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. First-round action will take place from Saturday, April 23 to Tuesday, April 26, with the semifinals and championship set for Friday and Saturday, April 29-30.
