Lynch Named USA South Player of the Week for Second-Straight Week

BREVARD, N.C. – For the second-consecutive week, Brevard College men's soccer junior forward Ryan Lynch was selected as the USA South Conference Player of the Week after being involved in all three goals in a 3-0 victory over Berea College last Wednesday.

Lynch, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, scored twice and added an assist for a five-point performance in the victory. Goals included a free-kick into the top-right corner and a breakaway goal off an Estevan Berto assist. Lynch also set teammate Sam O'Callaghan up with a goal that pushed BC's lead to a 3-0 margin.

Overall, Lynch has scored five goals and added two assists for 12 points on the season. Lynch's five goals and 12 points each currently lead the USA South. Lynch has totaled 12 goals and four assists for 28 career points in 29 career starts for the Tornados.

Lynch and the BC men's soccer team host Asbury University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field before beginning USA South play on Saturday at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Virginia.
