BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College soccer program, under the direction of Head Coach Helio "L" D'Anna and Assistant Coach Mario Pinto, has released its schedule for the Fall 2022 season of competition.
"I am very excited about the 2022 schedule in many different ways," commented Coach D'Anna. "The new alignment in the conference will bring new challenges and exciting games. We are also adding new opponents to the schedule such as Oglethorpe, Centre, and Asbury. We have a great balance of home and away matches and we will be able to safeguard the players in regards to academics. All in all, our schedule is one that will challenge us but also equip us to contend in the USA South."
Brevard's 2022 schedule kicks off with a home exhibition contest against Montreat College slated for 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 28 at Ives-Lemel Family Field. The regular season kicks off the first week of September, with back-to-back road matches against NCAA DII Southern Wesleyan University on Thursday, September 1 at 7 p.m. in Central, South Carolina, and NCCAA member Carolina University on Saturday, September 3 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Brevard's first regular-season home match is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 vs. Oglethorpe University at 7 p.m. before the Tornados begin a three-match road stretch. BC will first travel to Greenville, South Carolina to take on Bob Jones University on Saturday, September 10 at 8 p.m. before a mid-week trip to nearby Swannanoa, North Carolina to match up with Warren Wilson College on Wednesday, September 14 at 5 p.m. Brevard's road swing concludes on Saturday, September 17 with a trip to Danville, Kentucky to face Centre College at 1:30 p.m.
Brevard then hosts back-to-back non-conference contests against former USA South foe Berea College on Saturday, September 23 at 4 p.m. and Asbury University on Wednesday, September 28 at 4 p.m.
USA South Conference action kicks off for the Tornados with a trip to Buena Vista, Virginia to take on Southern Virginia University on Saturday, October 1, with the game time to be announced.
Brevard will step out of conference play to host Johnson & Wales NC on Wednesday, October 5 at 7 p.m. before getting right back to conference play with a road trip to Staunton, Virginia to take on Mary Baldwin University on Saturday, October 8 at 3 p.m.
BC opens up a season-long three-match home stretch on Wednesday, October 12, facing Pfeiffer University under-the-lights at 7 p.m. before welcoming NC Wesleyan College on Saturday, October 15 at 3 p.m. Brevard then closes out the homestand with a mid-week clash vs. Warren Wilson on Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m.
The final stretch of BC's USA South schedule features one last road trip to Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday, October 22 to take on Methodist University at 3 p.m. before closing out the regular season with a pair of home contests. Brevard will take on Greensboro College on Wednesday, October 26 at 7 p.m. and close the season out with a Saturday, October 29 meeting vs. William Peace University at 3 p.m.
The 2022 USA South Conference Men's Soccer Tournament is scheduled to take place between Wednesday, November 2 - Saturday, November 5, with details still TBD with Conference realignment now official. The conference will now consist of 10 member institutions, eight of which field men's teams.

The Tornados, under the direction of Coach D'Anna, will be vying for its fourth-consecutive postseason berth, after qualifying for the 2019 ECAC Men's Soccer Tournament, winning the Spring 2021 USA South West Division Tournament, and earning a berth in the Fall 2021 USA South Conference Tournament.
