BEREA, Ky. - The Brevard College men's soccer team (6-2-3, 1-1-2 USAS) scored a season-high five goals in a 5-1 USA South Conference win over host Berea College (1-9-1, 0-3-0) on Saturday afternoon in Berea, Kentucky.

Sophomore Ryan Lynch scored two goals to lead the Tornado attack. Sophomore Sam O'Callaghan registered two assists, while sophomore Estevan Berto recorded one goal and one assist.  Senior Adam Spencer and sophomore Ryan Sinkamba each scored goals as well to go along with an assist by sophomore Tino Onetto.

Lynch opened the scoring with a goal set up by an assist from O'Callaghan in the 14th minute.  The score then remained 1-0 through the rest of the first half.

After 35 scoreless minutes following the first goal of the contest, Spencer then took advantage of another O'Callaghan assist for his fifth goal of the season and the school-record 15th goal of the career for the native from Mooresville, North Carolina.  The two assists for O'Callaghan matched a career-high for the captain from Wicklow, Ireland.

Six minutes later, Berea cut the deficit to 2-1 with a goal in the 56th minute.  The Tornados responded quickly with Onetto setting up Berto for a goal just 55 seconds following Berea's lone goal.

Lynch then added an insurance goal to make the score 4-1 with his second goal of the day off an assist by Berto. The two goals marked a career-high for Lynch, a forward from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sinkamba then finished off the scoring barrage with an unassisted goal in the 83rd minute, his third goal of the season.

Brevard returns to action with a non-conference tilt vs. Warren Wilson on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field.  BC then will return back to conference play with a home match vs. Maryville on Saturday, October 16.
