BREVARD, N.C. – Sophomore attacker Drew Pond was selected as the USA South Conference Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week following Brevard College's big 22-8 victory over Spalding University.
Pond, a sophomore transfer from Evans, Georgia, totaled five points on three goals and two assists while also adding five ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory.
Through BC's first three contests of the season, the first-year Tornado has scored six goals with four assists for 10 points on the young season while also logging eight ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Pond's honor gives BC a grand total of 38 weekly awards from the USA South so far in 2022-23.
