BREVARD, N.C. – The USA South Conference men's lacrosse coaches recently released their annual preseason poll ahead of the 2023 men's lacrosse season. Brevard College was selected to finish ninth in the conference.

Pfeiffer University was placed atop the rankings thanks to receiving 59 total points and five of the possible nine first-place votes. The Falcons finished last season with a 7-2 regular season Conference record and reached the finals of the USA South tournament as the third-seeded team. Southern Virginia University, last year's regular season and tournament champions are second in the poll, grabbing 58 total points and three first-place votes, while Piedmont University rounded out the top three with 53 points and the final first-place vote.

Since the first Conference men's lacrosse preseason poll in 2018, the team chosen first in the poll's history has won the Conference championship two out of the four years. In each of the preseason polls, the team selected first has at worst reached the finals of the Conference tournament.
