BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men's lacrosse team (1-6, 0-2 USA South) fell in a USA South Conference matchup, 20-5, to William Peace University (3-3, 1-1 USAS) on a windy Saturday morning at Ives-Lemel Family Field.

The Pacers were able to open the contest on a 7-0 scoring run in the first quarter and sealed the game with eight-consecutive goals in the four period for the 15-goal victory.

Sophomore attacker Andrew McDonald scored a pair of goals and added an assist for three points to lead Brevard's offense. McDonald, a native of Vienna, Virginia, has totaled 16 goals and added 11 assists for 27 total points thus far in the 2022 campaign.

WPU scored consecutive goals in the first two minutes of the second period, but Brevard answered back with Scoggins' strike. After three Pacer goals in a row, BC answered with three goals of its own – two of the man-up variety – while holding William Peace scoreless through the final eight minutes of the first half.

BC held the Pacers scoreless in the first five minutes of the third quarter for a 12-minute scoreless streak before WPU answered with a goal at the 11:32 mark in the third period.
