BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College football senior placekicker Stamati Damalos was honored by the USA South after BC's 27-7 victory over Greensboro last Saturday, earning Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Damalos, a native of Tarpon Springs, Florida, drilled two of his three field goal attempts in the Greensboro win while also connecting on all three of his extra-point attempts.

Through five contests this season, Damalos has already matched his single-season career-high with seven field goals made, while maintaining a career-best 78% mark this season on field goal attempts. The Exercise Science major is a perfect 13-for-13 on extra-point attempts, and hit a career-long 45-yard field goal vs. The Apprentice School on September 11.

Damalos is currently the BC football career record-holder for field goals made (17) and field goals attempted (26), while his 45-yarder was the second-longest field goal make in BC Football history.

Damalos and the rest of the Tornados will return to action on Saturday, October 9 when they host Maryville College at Ives-Lemel Family Field, with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. The contest is a part of BC's Homecoming 2021 festivities.
