BREVARD, N.C. – After a big individual week at the plate that helped the Brevard College baseball team turn in a 4-1 record in five home contests, sophomore outfielder Lucas Granata earned a spot on the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week.

Granata, a second-year Tornado hailing from Wake Forest, North Carolina, went 10-for-17 (.588) at the plate with three extra-base hits (two triples and an inside-the-park home run) while driving in eight RBIs and scoring six runs, as the Tornados swept Northern Vermont-Lyndon in three games and split with Guilford College at Gil Coan Field.

Through 12 games this season, Granata is hitting .378 with 11 RBIs, eight runs scored five extra-base hits, and a .649 slugging percentage.

Granata and the rest of the 2023 BC Baseball team (8-4) gear up for a three-game road series in Berea, Kentucky against former USA South foe Berea College, slated to begin Saturday at 1 p.m.
