BREVARD, N.C. – The 2020-21 Brevard College men's and women's soccer teams were recently recognized by United Soccer Coaches, as both squads earned Team Academic Award honors.

The Tornados women's program was one of four in the USA South Conference to be recognized, while the men's team was the only conference member to be honored.

A total of 609 soccer teams (224 men, 385 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year. Of that total, 92 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
