BREVARD, N.C. – Sophomore libero Mariana Rodriguez was selected to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State Volleyball Second Team.

The NCCSIA awards All-State teams in the sports of Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball in two categories – University and College. The University Division includes NCAA DI schools across the state, while the College Division includes NCAA DII and DIII schools across North Carolina.

Rodriguez recorded a total of 475 digs, which averaged out to a 5.34 digs-per-set mark. The Houston native ranked third in the USA South Conference with her 5.34 digs-per-set total and was named as a USA South Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week selection during the course of the 2019 season.

The sophomore's 5.34 digs-per-set mark is the fifth-highest single-season total in Brevard's NCAA-era history. In Rodriguez's two seasons at Brevard, she has averaged 4.80 digs-per-set, which ranks third all-time in the NCAA-era for career digs-per-set.
