MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Brevard College volleyball team (1-20, 1-8 USAS) dropped two matches at a USA South Conference quad-match Saturday afternoon in Maryville, Tennessee. Brevard fell in three sets to Berea (10-11, 5-3 USAS) in a neutral-site contest to start the day followed by a straight-set defeat to host Maryville (18-6, 9-0 USAS) in the nightcap.

Berea topped Brevard 25-14 in the first set of the day for the Tornados, then followed with identical 25-22 scores in sets two and three.

In the match vs. Berea, freshman Breanna O'Shields led the Tornados in both kills (seven) and digs (18) to go along with two service aces. In the second match of the event, the Tornados faced off against a Maryville team riding an undefeated streak in conference play. Brevard hung with the first-place Scots in the opening set, coming up just short 25-20. The second and third sets, however, were all Maryville as the Scots put away the match with 25-10 and 25-12 victories.
