BREVARD, N.C. - Following the conclusion of a record-breaking 2018-19 regular season for the Brevard College Tornados Women's Tennis program, BC student-athletes Samantha Sepe, Kelsey Kushner, and Margaret Correll earned conference honors.

Sepe was named to the USA South Women's Tennis All-Conference First Team along with a selection as First Team West Division. Kushner was named to the Second Team West Division, while Correll was placed on the USA South Women's Tennis All-Sportsmanship Team.

Sepe, a junior from Niceville, Fla., closed out the 2019 regular season with 12 straight wins in singles play.  Over the 12-match streak, Sepe dropped just one set and started the streak with eight straight 6-0, 6-0 wins not dropping a single game. Sepe concluded her debut season with the Tornados with a 13-2 overall record and a perfect 9-0 record in USA South Conference singles play. In doubles, Sepe and Kushner teamed up for an 11-2 overall record that includes a perfect 7-0 mark in conference action.

Kushner, a senior from Tampa, Fla., finished 2018-19 with eight victories in no. 2 singles for the Tornados to go along with her 11 doubles triumphs. At the "Bespys" - Brevard College Athletics' annual awards ceremony - Kushner received the Female Perfect Storm Award, an award that honors male and female student-athletes who exhibit the most outstanding performance in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.

Correll, a sophomore from Salisbury, N.C., earned BC's spot on the All-Sportsmanship team following a successful 2018-19 campaign. Correll teamed up with numerous doubles partners for nine victories alongside four singles triumphs.

The Tornados won 12 games in the 2018-19 regular season, including six conference victories. BC strung together a 10-match win streak that matched the longest winning streak in the program's NCAA-era history (2008-09, 10 matches).
