Brevard looks for third straight win as they travel to Methodist

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard women's soccer team will go on the road to Methodist on September 23 in search of their third straight victory.

In the Tornados' previous two wins they have won by a combined 5-0 score, while averaging 22 shots per match on offense and four saves per match on the defensive side of the field.

Brevard will be aiming for their first three-game winning streak since the beginning of the 2016 season, where they started (3-0) while averaging three goals per match and allowing zero goals on defense.

The Tornados have taken advantage of a well-balanced offense on the season, as ten different players have either scored a goal or recorded an assist through the first six matches.

In the previous match, freshman goalkeeper Rebeccah Rojas recorded five saves in Brevard's win over Agnes-Scott en-route to her fourth win of the season. The Tornados limited the Scotties to just five shots on goal and outshot the Scotties 21-8 over the course of the match.

Coming into the match the Monarchs are (1-5) on the season, with their lone win against St. Andrews, a team Brevard beat 2-0 to start the 2017 campaign.

On defense, the Tornados will look to contain Methodist forward Capri Clark, who leads the team with seven points on three goals and one assist on the season for the Monarchs.

This will be the first meeting between the two programs since Brevard moved to the NCAA ranks in the 2008 season.

The match will kick off at 1 p.m. at the Monarch Soccerplex.
