  • Rosato Named Assistant A.D./Senior Woman Administrator at Brevard College
    June 28, 2022
    Kristin Rosato has been named Assistant Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) at Brevard College, announced Director of Athletics Myranda Nash. In addition to her new duties, Rosato will continue in her role as a Head Coach as she enters her eighth season at the helm of the Tornados Women’s Lacrosse program.
  • BC Women’s Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Honors Squad, KC Collins Selected to Academic Honor Roll

    The 2021 Brevard College women’s lacrosse team has been selected as an Academic Honors Squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Rising senior midfielder KC Collins was honored by the IWLCA as well, earning a spot on the Division III Academic Honor Roll. Brevard’s team award marks the fourth time that the Tornados have secured Academic Honors Squad team honors, while Collins’ honor is the tenth individual award for BC from the IWLCA in program history.

  • School-Record 129 Tornados Named Academic All-Conference

    A school-record 129 Brevard College student-athletes have been named 2020-21 USA South Academic All-Conference selections. Thirty one of the 128 BC student-athletes also earned “With Distinction” honors for superior academic achievement.
  • 41 Brevard College Student-Athletes Graduate As Part of Class of 2021

    A total of 41 student-athletes, representing 13 different sports graduated as part of the Class of 2021 at Brevard College’s 168th Commencement Ceremony held at Ives-Lemel Family Field on Saturday, May 8.
  • Three Tornados Earn All-West Division Honors from USA South, Collins Garners All-Sportsmanship Selection

    Brevard College women’s lacrosse was honored by the USA South Conference on Friday as three Tornados – Ashton Cashwell, KC Collins, and Autumn Kraemer – were selected to the USA South Women’s Lacrosse All-West Division Team following the conclusion of the Conference’s regular-season schedule. Collins was also selected as BC’s representative onto the All-Sportsmanship Team.
  • Tornados Conclude 2021 Season at Piedmont, Fall 17-7

    The Brevard College women’s lacrosse team (0-5, 0-5 USAS) dropped its season finale on the road Sunday, falling by a final of 17-7 to Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia.  Ashton Cashwell and Savannah Colliver each tallied two goals apiece to lead the offensive attack for Brevard, while KC Collins, Autumn Kraemer, and Parker Moore also scored for BC. Kraemer dished out a team-best two assists, while Carlie Henning saved nine Piedmont shot attempts and grabbed seven ground balls. 
  • Hawks Take Conference Victory over Tornados in Montgomery

    The Brevard College women’s lacrosse team (0-4, 0-4 USAS) returned to action on Saturday afternoon, falling 20-5 to Huntingdon College (2-6, 1-4 USAS). Autumn Kraemer tied her season-high with four goals on nine shot attempts. Parker Moore added a goal and an assist, while Carlie Henning saved five shots in the contest.
  • Three Women’s Lacrosse Contests Postponed

    In accordance with USA South Conference COVID-19 management protocols, the BC women’s lacrosse contests vs. Huntingdon College (April 2), vs. Warren Wilson College (April 6), and at Piedmont College (April 11), have all been postponed.
  • BC Falls in Weekday USA South Road Matchup

    The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (0-3, 0-3 USAS) fell 16-6 in a USA South Conference matchup to host Pfeiffer University (3-1, 3-0 USAS) on Wednesday evening in Misenheimer, North Carolina. Brevard’s leading goal scorer Autumn Kraemer, a sophomore from Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, scored a team-best four goals on six shots taken.  Sophomore midfielder Parker Moore recorded a goal and an assist, while junior midfielder KC Collins added a goal and sophomore Savannah Colliver delivered an assist. Sophomore goalkeeper Carlie Henning registered 15 saves to protect the net for the Tornados.

    The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (0-2, 0-2 USAS) continues conference competition on Wednesday when the Tornados head to Pfeiffer University (2-1, 2-0 USAS) with first draw set for 6 p.m. In BC's last game against Pfeiffer earlier this season on Wednesday, March 10, sophomore Autumn Kraemer led the Tornados with three goals, to go along with two goals by Savannah Colliver.  Junior midfielder KC Collins recorded two assists, while sophomore goalkeeper Carlie Henning registered 14 saves, playing the entire 60 minutes in front of the goal. The Falcons were able to triumph over the Tornados earlier this season in the conference contest at Ives-Lemel Family Field.

    The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (0-2, 0-2 USAS) fell in its conference opener, 19-3, to Piedmont College (3-5, 2-0 USAS) on Saturday afternoon at Ives-Lemel Family Field.  Autumn Kraemer led the way for the Tornados with a pair of goals, while Parker Moore put in her first career goal as a member of the BC women's lacrosse team alongside a pair of assists, connecting with Kraemer a pair of times for scores. Grace Vaught dished out her first career assist to Moore, while Carlie Henning saved 10 shots in-goal. 
  • WLAX Continues Conference Play vs. Piedmont on Saturday

    The Brevard College women’s lacrosse team (0-1, 0-1 USAS) continues conference competition on Saturday when the Tornados play host to Piedmont College (2-5, 1-0 USAS) at Ives-Lemel Family Field, with first draw set for 1 p.m. In BC’s season-opener on Wednesday, March 10, sophomore Autumn Kraemer led the Tornados with three goals, to go along with two goals by Savannah Colliver.  Junior midfielder KC Collins recorded two assists, while sophomore goalkeeper Carlie Henning registered 14 saves, playing the entire 60 minutes in front of the goal for BC vs. Pfeiffer. The Lions have played in seven contests so far in 2021, with Emma Frasen leading the attack, accounting for 24 goals and 12 assists for 36 points. Aislynn Kimbro and Macey Higgins also have double-digit goal outputs, with 19 and 10 goals apiece.
  • Conference Releases Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Poll

    The USA South Conference has released its pre-conference poll for women’s lacrosse, placing the Brevard College Tornados in a tie for third in the USA South West Division. Each divisional poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

    The Brevard College women’s lacrosse team (0-1, 0-1 USAS) opened its 2021 season with a 21-5 defeat to visiting Pfeiffer (1-1, 1-0 USAS) on Wednesday evening at Ives-Lemel Family Field.  The game marked the first contest for the Tornado women’s lacrosse program since March 8, 2020. Sophomore Autumn Kraemer led the Tornados with three goals, to go along with two goals by Savannah Colliver.  Junior midfielder KC Collins recorded two assists.  Sophomore goalkeeper Carlie Henning registered 14 saves, playing the entire 60 minutes in front of the goal for BC.

    The Brevard College women’s lacrosse team will take the field for the first time in over a year, as the Tornados prepare to open their season at the newly-expanded Ives-Lemel Family Field on Wednesday evening against Pfeiffer University (0-1) in USA South Conference action, with first draw scheduled for 6 p.m. 
  • Spectator Guidelines for Brevard College Outdoor Sports in Spring, 2021

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brevard College has established spectator guidelines for Spring 2021 home, outdoor athletic events. The updated guidelines are in accordance with the adjusted outdoor spectator policy announced by the USA South Conference on February 23. 2021. These regulations apply to the sports of baseball, football, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball, men’s tennis and women’s tennis at Brevard College.

    The Presidents of the USA South Athletic Conference have agreed to adjust the Conference's policy on spectators attending any outdoor sporting event hosted by a USA South institution regardless of opponent.
  • Spectator Policy Announced for Brevard College Outdoor Sports

    As a safety measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only Brevard College students, faculty and staff, as well as essential game personnel, will be permitted at outdoor sporting events during the Spring 2021 semester. No outside spectators will be permitted for any athletics event on the Brevard College campus. For those attending the match from the on-campus community, masks and social distancing are required as well as Brevard College identification.
