BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College Tornados Women's Lacrosse freshman Hannah Scharf has been selected as the USA South Conference Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week. The distinction marks BC Women's Lacrosse's first Athlete of the Week honor by the USA South.
Over the course of the first three games of 2019, Scharf has enjoyed a great start to her career, scoring five times while assisting on two goals for a total of seven points. The Southport, N.C. native has helped Brevard College to its best start in the program's six-year history, as the Tornados have claimed victories against Brenau University, Montreat College, and Randolph College to begin 2019.
In addition to her scoring efforts, Scharf has done well defensively, snagging seven ground balls while causing nine turnovers.
