FLETCHER, N.C. - The Brevard College Tornados Women's Golf team competed in its second event of the spring, the Cavalier Spring Invitational hosted by Montreat College at Broadmoor Golf Links in nearby Fletcher, N.C. 

The event took place from Monday, March 4 to Tuesday, March 5.

Taylor Scovel led the way for the Tornados, firing a first-round score of 88 (+16) followed by a final round 95 (+23) to close action up. Scovel entered the final round in second place.  Rachel Byrd also represented Brevard College in the competitive field which featured Brewton-Parker College, the University of the Cumberlands, West Virginia Tech, Union College, Kentucky Christian, and host Montreat. 

The Women's Golf team will return to action at the Link Hills Country Club in Greenville, Tenn. to take part in the Agnes McAmis Memorial on April 1-2. The event is hosted by Tusculum University.
