CAVALIER SPRING INVITATIONAL RESULTS
MORGANTON, N.C. – Two members of the Brevard women's golf, Kelsie Rhyne and Taylor Scovel, took part in the Cavalier Spring Invitational, hosted by Montreat College, which concluded on Tuesday afternoon.
The event, held at Silver Creek Plantation course, was limited to 27 holes due to weather. The course was a par 72 and 5,827 yards in distance.
Rhyne earned her second top 15 outing of the spring slate as she finished tied with Montreat's Emma Roberts for 13th place. Rhyne (145; +37) was 20 shots off the pace set by individual tournament winner Danielle Bates (Tennessee Wesleyan).
Scovel ended the tournament locked in a tie with Montreat's Sydney Fairchild with a score of 148 (+40), marking her second top 20 outing of the season.
The Tornados did not field enough players to compete as a team, however top team honors went to Cincinnati Christian, who finished even for the event.
