BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Women's Basketball team (6-6, 2-4 USAS) will look to secure victory on the road this weekend as the Tornados travel to LaGrange, Ga. for a 6 p.m. tip-off against the LaGrange Panthers (on Friday before heading east to Macon, Ga. for a 2 p.m. rematch with Wesleyan College (0-10, 0-3 USAS) on Saturday at Central Georgia Technical College. The road trip comes on the heels of two tight defeats for the Tornados. Brevard traveled to Laurinburg, N.C. on New Year's Eve to meet the NAIA's St. Andrews, falling by a final score of 77-72. The Tornados were led by senior guard Annalee Bollinger, who tallied 20 points while adding three assists and three rebounds. Ty'She Washington added 13 points while Destiny Williams recorded 11 to round out the Tornados' double-figure scorers.

Brevard most recently fell on Wednesday afternoon in a very close 2019 home-opener against USA South opponent Berea College. Brevard's Deja Riddick led all scorers with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Freshman Avery Lockwood recorded her second double-double of 2018-19 with a 10 point, 12 rebound effort against the Mountaineers. With Lockwood's effort on Wednesday, she has now tallied double-digit rebounding totals in five contests this season.

After Brevard's weekend road trip that wraps up a stretch of four games in seven days, the Tornados have the next week off before another weekend road trip. Brevard heads to Maryville, Tenn. to rematch Maryville College (4-6, 2-1 USAS) on Saturday, January 12 at 4 p.m. before heading to Demorest, Ga. for a rematch with Piedmont College (7-3, 4-0 USAS) on Sunday, January 13 at 1 p.m.
