BREVARD, N.C. – Fresh off back-to-back home victories earlier in the week, the Brevard College Women's Basketball team (4-1) makes its USA South Conference debut at the Boshamer Gymnasium against Wesleyan College (Ga.) (0-5) on Saturday.

Brevard College this season is eligible to compete for a USA South regular season championship along with consideration for All-Conference awards. The Tornados played out a USA South Conference schedule in 2017-18 but were ineligible for regular season accolades due to NCAA reclassification.

The Tornados come off of two solid home wins against NCCAA opponents Toccoa Falls and Bob Jones. Brevard handled the Eagles of Toccoa Falls 72-45 before holding off a fierce comeback from the Bob Jones Bruins, winning by a final score of 74-67.

Sophomore forward Destiny Williams enjoyed a solid two-game stretch for the Tornados. Williams averaged 15.5 ppg alongside 8.0 rbg and 2.0 spg. Williams posted her fourth double-double of 2018-19 against Bob Jones, posting 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Senior guard Annalee Bollinger made an emphatic offensive impact in the victory over the Bruins. Bollinger posted a season-high mark of 24 points on 7-of-19 shooting from the field, which included five 3-pointers made.

Bollinger and Williams rank amongst the top USA South Conference scorers early in the 2018-19 campaign. Bollinger (15.6 ppg) currently ranks sixth in the league, while Williams (14.8 ppg) is just one spot behind her teammate, ranking seventh in the conference. Alongside her work offensively, Williams has proven to be fierce on the glass as well. Her 9.5 rebounds per game rank her sixth in the conference.

The Tornados will wrap up their season-long four-game homestand as Maryville College (0-4) pays a visit to the mountains of Western North Carolina on Wednesday, December 5. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
