GREENVILLE, S.C. - A fourth-quarter which included a 15-6 run was the difference in a tightly contested non-conference match up as the Brevard College Tornados (2-1) lost for the first time this season to host Bob Jones University (2-5) 75-66 on Monday night.

The Bruins proved more efficient shooting from the field, posting a 42% field goal percentage compared to the Tornados' 32%. The Bruins also held a considerable advantage at the charity stripe, drilling 23-of-29 free throw attempts (79%).

Brevard forced twice as many turnovers (18-9) than the Bruins, which led to 22 points off turnovers. The Tornados drilled a total of 13 three-point shots in the contest, shooting 13-of-38 (34%)

Senior guard Annalee Bollinger posted a 16-point performance, knocking in a game-high four three-pointers.

Sophomore Ty'She Washington tallied 13 points and a game-high five assists.

Both JaTasha Hollinger and Deja Riddick recorded 11 points, as Hollinger knocked in 3-of-7 from long range while Riddick grabbed a team-high five defensive rebounds.

Fouls plagued the Tornados throughout the contest, as early foul trouble limited BC's attack. Brevard was whistled for 24 fouls compared to Bob Jones' 10.

Brevard held the lead through most of the first half of play. The Tornados held a game-high 11 point lead with 8:02 remaining in the second quarter before the Bruins cut into the deficit.

Bob Jones battled all the way back and even took the lead briefly before the intermission. BC held a slim 36-34 lead heading into the half.

Brevard would extend its lead back out to a nine-point, 56-47 advantage with 2:23 remaining in the third quarter. However, Bob Jones answered with a 9-0 run of its own to tie the game heading into the fourth quarter.

The Bruins would take advantage of their new found momentum, outscoring the Tornados by nine points in the final stanza to secure a 75-66 victory.

Bob Jones was led by Sarah Thomsen, who had a game-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Bruin forward Delaney Edwards set the tone down low, recording a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double.

Both teams will meet for a rematch in just 10 days, as the Tornados host Bob Jones on November 29 at 6 p.m.
