  • Brevard College Athletics Announces Inaugural BC Athletics Tornado Club Auction

    The Brevard College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce its inaugural BC Athletics Tornado Club Auction. The online silent auction was made available on Monday, August 1 at 8 a.m. and runs until Wednesday, August 21 at 8 a.m., the date of the 11th annual BC Tornados Open held at the Lake Toxaway Country Club. 
  • 91 Brevard College Student-Athletes Named USA South Academic All-Conference

    The USA South Conference on Friday morning released its annual USA South Academic All-Conference list, selecting 91 Brevard College student-athletes as Academic All-Conference selections. Additionally, 18 student-athletes collected “With Distinction” Academic All-Conference honors, accruing at least a 3.9 grade point average in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Brevard College Wins Relay Gold at ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

    Six members of the Brevard College Tornados Track & Field team made the trip to New Haven, Connecticut to compete in the ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted at Southern Connecticut State University.  BC was highlighted by a first-place 4x100-Meter Relay finish from CJ Walton, Eddie Dean, Jamerial Parks, and Quentin Jackson. The quartet, who finished second place at the USA South Track & Field Championships, won the event with a stellar time of 42.60, .57 faster than the second place finishers. 
  • Track & Field to Send Six Tornados to ECAC Championships

    Following the conclusion of the 2019 Track & Field season, six Brevard College Tornados have qualified for the program’s first-ever bid into the ECAC Championships, which will be held at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut from Wednesday, May 15 to Thursday, May 16.   • BC Track & Field Takes Part in Catamount Classic at NCAA DI Western Carolina University

    The Brevard College Tornados Track & Field team took part in the Catamount Classic on the campus of Western Carolina University on Saturday afternoon. The Tornados flashed their prowess in the Men’s 100 Meter Dash, Men’s 200 Meter Dash, Men’s 1500 Meter Run, Men’s 4x100 Meter Relay, Men’s Shot Put, and Men’s Discus Throw against stiff NCAA DI, DII, and NAIA competition.  Brevard placed two student-athletes in the top-10 in the Men’s 100 Meter Dash event: CJ Walton (8th, 11.17) and Jamerial Parks (10th, 11.19). Both Parks and Walton also finished top-10 in the Men’s 200 Meter Dash. Parks finished seventh with a time of 22.49, while Walton posted a time of 22.80, which ranked 10th. 
  • Gavin Morgan’s Stellar 5K Time Highlights Brevard at the Lenoir-Rhyne Classic

    The Brevard College Tornados Track and Field team continued its 2019 campaign as it made its second trip to Hickory, N.C. , this time to take part in the Lenoir-Rhyne Classic hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University. The field was highly competitive, featuring numerous NCAA DI and DII schools. Freshman standout Gavin Morgan highlighted the Tornados’ outing, setting a new personal best with a fifth-place finish in the Men’s 5000 Meter Run. Morgan finished the event in 15:49.64, which was good enough to earn him a fifth place. Morgan finished ahead of numerous runners who represented NCAA DII schools.
  • Tornados Show Improvement, Growth at the Adidas/Winthrop Invitational

    The Brevard College Tornados Track & Field team competed in the Adidas/Winthrop Invitational in Friday and Saturday, hosted by NCAA DI Winthrop University.  BC saw personal improvement in its events this past weekend, as several Tornados improved on their performances in their last event at the Lenoir-Rhyne Southside Power & Fitness Invitational. 
  • Tornados Open Season at the Lenoir-Rhyne Southside Power and Fitness Invitational

    The Brevard College Tornados Track & Field team opened its 2019 season up over the weekend at the Lenoir-Rhyne Southside Power and Fitness Invitation. The Tornados competed in two days of events on Friday and Saturday.
