CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams, along with the individual performance of Hassan Kiprono each placed in the top 40 in their respective races in the first outdoor meet of the 2018 season for the Brevard track & field unit.
Kiprono completed the 3000 meters with a time of 9:23.73, as he edged out Ben Douthit of Bob Jones to finish 39th out of 57 runners in the event.
In the relay events, the team of Adam Spencer, Dylan Bradley, Quentin Jackson and Leejhai Wells ran a time of 44.99 seconds in the 4x100 meter relay to finish 24th overall. The men's 4x400 team of Spencer, Orrlando Johnson, Wells and Jackson completed their race in 3:50.24 to finish 39th overall.
Brevard will now shift its focus to the Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C., a three-day meet beginning on March 22nd.
