Jenna George Named Volunteer Assistant Coach at Brevard College

BREVARD, N.C. – Jenna George has been named Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Brevard College Softball program, announced Head Coach Robyn Rohr.

"I am excited to add Jenna George to my coaching staff at Brevard College," said Coach Rohr.  "Jenna brings enthusiasm, knowledge and care for the student athletes that I greatly respect.  Jenna's history as both a player and a coach will be an asset for our team's efforts to get better every day. I feel very honored to have her join us."

George arrives at Brevard following a coaching tenure since 2016 at the Minnesota FastPitch Academy.  At the FastPitch Academy, George focused on hitting, infield and catching while developing overall skills for young student athletes both on and off the field.  George will begin her duties at Brevard College on February 6.

A prolific softball student-athlete at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, George was a standout third baseman for the Wildcats.  As a sophomore in 2017, she became the first softball player in St. Catherine University history to be named a First Team All-American in addition to earning MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Player of the Year and First Team All-Region honors.  In addition, she was a finalist for the NFCA Division III Player of the Year award after leading the MIAC in several offensive categories and tying the school's single-season record for home runs (10).

George was named an All-Conference performer for three straight years culminating with a senior season where she helped lead the Wildcats to a 26-14 overall record and a 16-6 record in conference play.

An excellent student and leader both on and off the field, George was named an Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete in 2018 and earned a spot on the Dean's List in three consecutive years.

A native of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, George graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Coaching.
