BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College men's soccer student-athletes Patrick Hall and Joao Monteiro have been awarded USA South Men's Soccer All-Conference honors following the Tornados' highly-successful run in conference play during the 2019 season.

Hall, one of Brevard's senior captains, was named as the goalkeeper on the All-Conference Second Team, while freshman midfielder Monteiro was slotted on the All-Conference Third Team. The freshman was also selected as Brevard's representative on the All-Sportsmanship team.

The announcement marks Brevard's first All-Conference selections in the sport of men's soccer since joining the USA South.

Hall, a native of Pikeville, North Carolina, has started every game thus far for the Tornados in the 2019 season. Over the course of his senior season, Hall ranked second in the conference in save percentage (.776) and had the third-lowest goals-against-average (1.15). He has won seven games in goal while saving a total of 66 shots thus far, keeping three clean sheets in 2019.

Hall's seven wins this season are tied for the most single-season wins by a goalkeeper in Brevard's NCAA-era history. For his career, Hall has racked up the second-most saves (222) and has the best save percentage (.733) in BC's NCAA-era.

Monteiro, a freshman hailing from Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, has scored one goal while assisting on four for six total points in the 2019 season thus far. Every single one of Monteiro's points in 2019 came at home within the confines of Ives-Lemel Family Field.

After Wednesday's season-finale vs. Piedmont International was canceled due to inclement weather, Head Coach Helio "L" D'Anna's squad has secured the program's first regular-season winning record (7-6-3) in NCAA-era history. Brevard's seven regular-season wins tie the 2016 and 2017 Tornados for the most single-season victories in Brevard's NCAA-era. All of the Tornados' victories this season have come in USA South play, setting a new single-season high for most conference wins in program history.

Brevard will now await a possible bid into postseason play in the ECAC Championships. The 2019-20 academic season marks the last year that Brevard will be ineligible for USA South Conference and NCAA postseason competition.
