BREVARD, N.C. – Following a dominant 18-5 victory over the Averett Cougars last week, Brevard College senior Hewitt Farr and junior Robert Kokal have garnered USA South Conference weekly honors.
Farr earned the USA South Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week, while Kokal snagged the USA South Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week award.
Farr, a senior attacker from Santa Fe, New Mexico, tallied nine points on five goals and four assists in an 18-5 win over USA South foe Averett in the Tornados' only game last week. Farr also added two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory.
Kokal, a Monroe Township, New Jersey junior long-stick midfielder, recorded game-highs of 14 ground balls and six caused turnovers in an 18-5 win over USA South foe Averett.
The selections mark the third and fourth awards, respectively, for the BC Men's Lacrosse program this season. Farr and Kokal join teammates Jackson McKaig and Devin McCarragher as the other Tornado athletes to receive conference honors.
These two distinctions mark the 25th and 26th USA South weekly honor garnered by a Brevard College student-athlete this academic year.

Farr, Kokal, and the rest of the 2019 BC Men's Lacrosse team will return home on Saturday, April 20 for its Senior Day match against Huntingdon College. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field. BC's senior class of Jackson McKaig, Huntley Davis, Chris Efenecy, Sean Pratt, Hewitt Farr, Jack Shade, Harrison Roberts, Raheem Brown, Paxton Brown, and Peyton Mooney will be honored at the Senior Day ceremony.
