Brevard Looks to Build on Success Against Huntingdon

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard men's lacrosse will make the trek to Montgomery, Ala., this Saturday as the Tornados will take on Huntingdon at 5 p.m. EST.

Brevard (3-1) enters the game with back-to-back wins after playing tough defense, limiting their opponents to a combined nine goals in the last two contests. On the offensive end, Brevard has averaged 15 goals in the last two outings.

Juniors Jackson McKaig and Kyle Hunziker lead the team in scoring, tallying 28 and 22 points, respectively. McKaig leads all Tornado scorers with 19 goals, while Hunziker leads all players in assists with 10.

In the net for Brevard, Xzavier Holmes-Copeland has earned the start in all four games as the senior has recorded 31 saves while allowing 33 total goals on the season.

Huntingdon heads into the game undefeated (4-0) on the young season, with their most recent victory coming in an 18-7 triumph over Oglethorpe on Feb. 21. Senior Kendrick Ballard leads the Hawks on offense with 11 goals this year.

The last time the two programs met, Huntingdon came away with the 11-7 win on Mar. 25, 2017 at Ives-Lemel Field.
