Austin Fisher Finishes Tied for Third to Highlight Brevard Men’s Golf in the Mars Hill Spring Invitational 

LORIS, S.C. - The Brevard College Tornados Men's Golf team kicked off its Spring season by heading down to the coast of South Carolina to take part in the Diamondback Intercollegiate/Mars Hill Spring Invitational at the Diamondback Golf Club In Loris, S.C., located just outside of Myrtle Beach, S.C. 

Senior Austin Fisher led BC's charge over the two-day event, collecting hardware by finishing tied for third overall. Fisher posted a first round score of 78 (+6) before firing a final round 72 (+2) for a tournament total of 150 (+8). 

Fisher continued to build upon the success he had in the Fall portion of the season. Fisher shared the title in the Mars Hill Fall Invitational on September 24, 2018, at Broadmoor Golf Links in Fletcher, N.C. after firing an even-par 72 in the weather-shortened event. 

Thibault Tranchant and Thomas Purcell also competed at the Diamondback Golf Club. Tranchant shot a first round 79 (+7) before closing out the Invitational with an 85 (+13). Purcell fired an 89 (+19) on the first day before improving in round two, posting an 84 (+14).

BC Tornados Men's Golf returns to action when it takes part in the Cavalier Spring Invite on March 4-5 at Broadmoor Golf Links in Fletcher, N.C.
