BREVARD, N.C. - The USA South Conference has announced its Baseball All-Conference and All-Sportsmanship teams, tabbing Brevard College junior RHP Kross Robinson as an All-Conference Third Team selection, while sophomore JJ Wilkes earned a nod onto the All-Sportsmanship team.

Robinson, a junior from Morgantown, N.C., is the first Brevard College Baseball player to be named to the USA South All-Conference team. This season, the Tornados were eligible for weekly and postseason conference honors amidst their transition into the NCAA DIII ranks.

Robinson has struck out a team-best 56 batters thus far in 2019 while also holding a team-best 4.09 earned run average among starting pitchers. The junior has made 10 starts this season, earning a victory on April 13 against Covenant at Big League Camp in Marion, N.C. Robinson struck out 10 batters in a single game twice this season, as he set a new career high on March 17 in a no-decision against nationally-ranked Huntingdon before matching that strikeout total in his victory over Covenant.

Wilkes, a sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., earned a spot on the USA South Baseball All-Sportsmanship team. Wilkes is second on the team with a .301 batting average and leads the Tornados with 22 RBIs. Wilkes has tallied 34 hits and scored 15 runs while hitting six doubles and a home run for BC in 2019. Wilkes also earned a start on the mound for Brevard in their 9-5 road victory on April 16 over Emory & Henry.

Robinson, Wilkes, and the rest of the 2019 Brevard College Baseball team are set to close their season out this weekend as they travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to square off with Johnson University Tennessee. Game one will be on Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m., with the season concluding with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 27 at 1 and 4 p.m.
